The Start of my Winter Arc - Week 1

Today is day 4 of my Winter Arc.

September 30, 2024

I saw a girl post a Tiktok about planning and prepping for her Winter Arc and how we have 3 months left in the year. While most people wait until the new year to start tackeling new goals we was takling about using these last few months to dial in, focus, and get a head start before the new year. I loved this idea and wanted to join so I did.

October 1, 2024

I offically started day 1 of my Winter Arc. My main objective of the day was to go to the gym. I have been really inconsistent with working out and wanted the gym to be an essential part of my Winter Arc. I put on a cute gym outfit and wore that to work (I am a researcher in a lab that looks at infectious diseases) with a sweater over it so that I wouldn’t go home to change and just head straight to the gym. Since I don’t have super strong discipline right now, I could see myself getting home and finding a million reasons not go to the gym (hungry, need to cook, need to clean, going to get cold if I go outside, etc) so I just eliminated that possibility by driving straight to the gym after work. I hit glutes and had such a good workout at the gym. My workouts will be posted on here under the fitness tab so if you want to follow along with my gym progress.

October 2, 2024

Day 2 of my Winter Arc. A lot of things happened this day. I started an entrepreneurship class! I want to get into biotech and entrepreneurship but didn’t know where to start so I am taking a course to learn about this field. I didn’t wear a gym outfit to work and when I got home to change I fell asleep immediately. I need to fix my sleep schedule. This made me take a mental note that having a consistent sleep schedule is also something I want to be part of my Winter Arc. I woke up super late(like 9:50pm), realized I hadn’t ate since lunch, and realized that the gym was going to close at 11pm. I didn’t give up haha. I changed, drove to the gym, grabbed a 4pc chicken nugget from the McDonald’s drive thru right next to the gym, and got a 50min workout in. Haha I did it!

October 3, 2024

I used this day as 1 of the 2 rest days I want to have each week. My goal is to workout 5 times a week. I wasn’t super productive this day but I just took a lot of time to think about what I wanted these next 3 months of my life to look like.

October 4, 2024

Now onto today. I showed up to work in my gym clothes haha. No excuses. I just got out of work but have a busy afternoon/night so I figured I would update my blog super fast and then drive to the gym. After the gym I am going to a Salsa Dance event at 8pm. I definitely want to get more into dancing and learning different kinds of dances. My next goals are to make a blog post that outlines my own version of my Winter Arc. This is just for fun and I hope to also share my Winter Arc on Tiktok. Let’s see how this goes!
